Understanding the 'Code' Required on the Login Page

What is the Code You Need to Log In?

When logging into your Atlas account, you will need to enter a special code known as your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) code. This code serves as an additional security measure to enhance the protection of your account. By requiring this code along with your password, we ensure that only you can access your account.

Why Do You Need a 2FA Code?

The 2FA code adds an extra layer of security by requiring a unique code generated by an authenticator app on your device. This makes it significantly harder for unauthorized users to access your account, even if they have your password.

What to Do If You’ve Forgotten or do not have a 2FA Code

If it has been a while since you last logged into your Atlas account, you might have forgotten that you set up Two-Factor Authentication. This is a common issue, here is what to do:

Unable to Remember Your 2FA Device or Setup?

If you cannot recall which device you used for 2FA or how you initially set it up, you may need help from your administrator. Your administrator can reset your 2FA settings, allowing you to log in and reconfigure your 2FA.

Steps to Reset Your 2FA:

  1. Contact Your Administrator (within your organisation): Reach out to your administrator and request a reset of your 2FA settings.
  2. Reset and Login: Once your 2FA is reset, you will be able to log in to your account.
  3. Reconfigure 2FA: Follow the steps in the guide provided below to set up your 2FA again.

For detailed instructions on setting up Two-Factor Authentication, please refer to the comprehensive guide available here: How Do I Set Up 2-Step Verification (2FA)?.

By following these steps, you can ensure your Atlas account remains secure and protected from unauthorized access. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, please contact our support team.
