Created by Michael Walsh, Modified on Fri, 16 Feb at 1:19 PM by Amanda Lowndes

Resources are available to all learners to view and download unless the resource is linked with segments. When a resource is linked with segments only learners in those segments can view and download the resource.

A resource can be linked with multiple segments.

To link a resource and a segment:

  1. Click the Settings tab on the menu bar at the top of the page.
  2. Scroll down to find the Elsewhere information section and click Organisational segments.
  3. Scroll down to find your segment then click the menu icon on the right of the segment’s details to show the menu.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Scroll down to find the LINKED DOCUMENTS & POLICIES card.
  6. Click the Link resource button on the right of the card.
  7. Type part of the name of your resource into the search box to show a list of matching resources.
  8. Select your resource from the list.

Note You can select multiple resources.

  9. Click Link resources.

To unlink a resource and a segment:

Note Removing the last link this resource has with a segment means all learners can view and download the resource.

  6. Scroll down to find the resource you want to unlink.
  7. Click the menu icon on the right of the resource’s details to show the menu.
  8. Select Remove.
  9. Click OK to confirm.
